This couple’s Mt. Hood Engagement Photos are GIVING the romantic, mountain and forest vibes that I live for!
Lauren and Anthony had just gotten engaged and saw that I was having a special I-just-moved-to-Portland deal to photograph a couple’s session in the Mt. Hood area. They reached out to me to book their Mt. Hood Engagement photos and, well, THE REST IS HISTORY! The chill, relaxed vibes of this engagement session were GIVING. It’s extra special that they actually got engaged on a mountain-top after a hike. Mount Hood was sure to be the landscape that would capture the vibes of a mountain-top engagement and I was so excited to capture this special moment for L&A.
The session began in a little forest trail that absolutely took my breath away. (I seriously kept saying how I wanted to come back with a chair and a good book and just spend the day by the little river rolling through the forest.) We walked, we talked, and we danced in the forest. An Oregon Wedding & engagement photographer’s DREAM!

The Journey to Mt. Hood
Once we were satisfied romping around the forest and walking our little Pacific Northwest hearts out, we drove up the mountain to get those epic Mt. Hood Engagement photos! The first few photos with the trees in the distance are actually taken on a big pull-out on the road up to Mt. Hood.
Ugh, I just can’t help but smile when looking at these two lovebirds. Truly, the engagement and proposal chunk of a relationship is the most fun and exciting. I love to have the honor of capturing couples in such a joyous time.
We followed ALL leave-no-trace principles during this photo session and stayed on the trail for everything! So, I may have photo-shopped OUT some of the ropes around the trail to give the appearance of being in pure wilderness, but we were actually on a very maintained trail and wanted to respect nature! I absolutely ALWAYS follow these principles with my clients.
