Have you considered getting married on the Northern Oregon Coast? This epic area brings you near the wonders of Oswald West, Seaside, Cannon Beach, and more! If you’re in need of inspiration, here is a spotlight on Kalyn & Andrew’s elopement day on the Northern Oregon Coast. I served Kalyn and Andrew as their Oregon Elopement Videographer and had the BEST DAY EVER!
^^^ I made a GIF out of one of my very favorite clips from the day! ^^^
This blog post is alllll about Kalyn & Andrew’s elopement on the Northern Oregon Coast! Kalyn & Andrew brought me on to create their elopement film and serve as their elopement videographer & I couldn’t have been more excited. Then, I met the elopement photographer for the day: Tori from Come to Bliss (& Adventure Instead). Tori & I clicked instantly (we even went to the same art university!) and absolutely LOVED working side by side to capture all the magic of this special elopement day. All the photos in today’s post are from Tori’s gallery. Please be sure to follow her on instagram (@cometobliss) and check out her website: https://cometobliss.com
So without further delay, I’d like to take you along on the adventure that was Andrew & Kalyn’s Elopement Day! Starting with, of course, my full-length Elopement film:
I could watch this film over-and-over-and-over again! And each time I relive the day, I remember all the moments I was driving from epic spot to epic spot, literally crying in my car, at how happy and beautiful this elopement day made me. This elopement holds an extra-special place in my heart because it was the day I decided, without a doubt, that elopement videography was my favorite thing EVER. I love being an Oregon elopement videographer.
When I create elopement videos, my mission is to capture as much of the day as possible and to edit the film in an organic, rhythmic design that allows for the expanse of the day to take up the space it requires and leave room for all the authentic movements, sweet exchanges, laughs, kisses and all the moments “in-between.”
I whole-heartedly believe that your elopement film shouldn’t be condensed into a tiny, 2-4 minute clip to highlight only the very best clips and moments. I believe your elopement film should have it all. I want my couples to be able to watch their elopement films 5, 10, 50 years in the future and still get to re-live every moment: not just the most instagram-worthy ones.
Each moment in this elopement (and every elopement) is special and perfect.
Anyway, I’ll get off my soapbox and stop crying (again!? I can’t help it, elopements make me emotional!) so that I can take your through the day, this time with Tori’s (Come to Bliss) photos from the day, so you can get a sense of how our work meshes together so well:
Kalyn & Andrew started the day getting ready in two breathtaking rooms at the SaltLine Hotel in Seaside, Oregon.
(Seriously, a very cute, bright, and beautiful hotel right in downtown Seaside, a stone’s throw from the beach: https://www.saltlinehotel.com)
I knew the day was off to a great start when I saw TWO DRESSES hanging and ready for adventure!!
Okay, but really, Denise from @glamwithdenise is such a lovely human and so much more than “just” Hillary Duff’s makeup gal. She’s overall an excellent hair & makeup artist and treats her clients with kindness, professionalism, and “glam!” Her client list is sparkling and her great attitude is too! I highly recommend her.
I also just want to say that I adore Tori for taking some sweet behind-the-scenes photos of me during the day.
I’d highly recommend working with The Culinary Concierge for your elopement on the Oregon Coast too! Here’s the instagram if ya wanna give them a follow: @the_culinary_concierge.
And YES, that’s me filming and eating pizza at the same time. If this picture makes you smile even a little, I’m the perfect Oregon elopement videographer for you!
I hope that, after scrolling through this post (and watching some of my film too!) you’ve gotten a taste of what it’s like to elope on the Northern Oregon Coast.
And, you’ve gotten to see how Tori (Come to Bliss) and my work come together as an excellent photo & video pairing! We both hope to see you on our next adventure!
